After Sia's decision to 'not be famous' and brand herself as 'a blonde bob wig,' inspired by the idea that Amy Winehouse was a beehive, she employed the services of 12 year old dancing queen Maddie Ziegler. I have to say that I found it rather awkward watching her interview on the Graham Norton Show with her back to the audience. Sia is not only known for her singing efforts but also her writing of songs for stars such as Madonna, Rihanna and Beyonce. However, assuming by now most of you will be familiar with her track 'Chandelier' and possibly the video it exemplifies Maddie's talents and has clearly triggered the start of a wider career. Ziegler, who lives with her mother Melissa and younger sister Mackenzie, is now featured in the latest edition of Elle, photographed at her own abode in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. "Dance has definitely made me a better model" the naturally brunette dancer come model explains, "When I'm performing, I'm always thinking about my face and my look. I used to have a much harder time with it." It would appear however that modelling is not the only recent development in her career, Maddie took to twitter to reveal that she will be starring on Disney series Austin & Ally. In a video uploaded online she announces that Sia has made a promise that if the MTV nominated music video comes in at first place, Maddie herself will be able to go up and receive the award on Sia's behalf. It is literally onwards and upwards for the young star! To the right is her performance on the Ellen show. | |
