Lil Wayne has put the wheels in motion with his filed law suit against 'Daddy' Birdman and record label Cash Money Records. Their disagreements begun back in 2005 however readjustments to certain contracts managed to solve any issues the pair had. That is until the label withheld money duly owed to Wayne, a significant sum of $10 million to be exact. A first advance payment of $8 million was due back in December 2013 when 'Tha Carter V' artist started on writing the album, followed by a further $2 million on completion, neither of which have been payed. The enraged rapper is now attempting to sue Cash Money to the sweet tune of $51 million, meaning serious money is at stake and to add to this, Lil Wayne seeks to take Drake and Nicki Minaj over to his label. It seems there is little compromise from either party, bar Lil Wayne stating that he is willing to let Birdman release 'Tha Carter V' on the basis that he has been paid beforehand. It also seems no coincidence that Drake has mysteriously released what was intended to be a mixtape as an album, named 'If You're Reading This It's Too Late.' It is unknown what Drake's contractual agreement with the label was, however it is public knowledge that Wayne's was to release four albums, and this would happen to be Drake's fourth. It would be plausible to consider this Drake's way out and after Minaj turned away from Cash Money it would seem both are right behind the Weezy rapper.
